Agile EO: Features API

Planet released a new API, the Features API, for managing feature or vector data, that you use with other Planet APIs. This highly requested feature is designed to improve your efficiency when making multiple API requests by reducing the need to provide the same information repeatedly. With the Features API, you will be able store your geometries on the Planet Platform so that you can:

• Easily validate that your AOI is compliant with Planet geometry rules
• Access geometry simplification tools to reduce vertex counts as needed
• Use references to your features in other Planet APIs such as the Data, Orders, and Subscriptions APIs
• Access an OGC Features API to visualize your stored areas of interest
