Learn how to define an area of interest (AOI), and select near-daily PlanetScope or high-resolution SkySat satellite imagery to use. While you can always download this imagery for use in your GIS software – including ArcGIS or QGIS – this demo shows you how to use Sentinel Hub to stream imagery directly into GIS software, so you don’t need to download images. 🛰️ 🌎

Since Planet’s acquisition of Sentinel Hub in 2023, Planet customers can now manage, stream, and analyze Earth observation data from multiple satellite constellations directly into their GIS software.

Step 1: Order imagery from Sentinel Hub

Step 2: Configuration Utilities: Customize your data layers with NDVI, NDRE, True Color, False Color, and more.

Step 3: Copy the WMTS service URL in Sentinel Hub, and open ArcGIS Online or your GIS application of choice, and click “add layer from URL.”
